The project consisted of a 43,000 sq-ft. renovation and remodel of four floors on the eastern side of the library with a 330 sq-ft. addition to the southeast corner on the first floor. Construction was completed in multiple phases during which the existing building was fully occupied. Work on the fourth floor included the addition of two handicap lifts and miscellaneous remodel work.
