COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES
THIRD FLOOR LAB

Golden, Colorado

The CSM General Research Laboratory 3rd Floor Fit-out includes the Vorhees, Knauss, and Siegriest Labs. Utilizing the latest in research technology, these labs are state-of-the-art research and learning environments. HVAC Systems include the use of Phoenix Controls for the regulation of supply and exhaust air systems, the latest technology in laboratory fume hoods, a new chiller, dry cooler, and a digital control system to monitor the various areas requiring airflow levels with very little tolerance factor. Additionally, office suites in each lab were constructed for use by professors and research students. This project involved work in an occupied facility adjacent to ongoing research activities and the construction of laboratories where hazardous materials will be used.
