2010 Gold Hard Hat Award

This Summit County project consists of a 28,000 sq-ft. new building to house Copper Mountain Fire Station No. 1 and the Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District Offices to include cable television, water, and sanitation and administration services. The building is constructed of CMU block and steel with masonry stone and stucco veneer. The fire station features a four-bay drive-through apparatus area, sleeping quarters and facilities to accommodate firefighters and ambulance personnel 24/7. The building features a training tower that includes a search area, repelling and stair trainings, operational offices, and storage & equipment facilities. Common use areas include a physical fitness room and an indoor/outdoor patio area with a built-in grill. The administrative area features a full service community room. The project included a radiant snow melting system, landscape, and parking lot.
