
GARFIELD COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER AND RIFLE POLICE STATION
2008 DESIGN-BUILD AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
This project consisted of three buildings. The first is a 16,000 sq-ft building located at 200 18th Street for the Garfield County Court of the 9th Judicial District. The new space houses offices for the probation department, the district attorney, and the sheriff. Other spaces include a courtroom, judge�s chambers, attorney client rooms, jury assembly, jury deliberation, holding rooms, office space for the clerk of the court, office space for probation, and building support. The second building is 17,000 sq-ft located at 201 18th Street. This new facility for the City of Rifle houses the Police and Municipal Court operations. Spaces included are: office space for administration, judges, investigations, sally port, patrol and community policing, holding cells, record storage, evidence storage, a training area, staff and facility support, building support, and a courtroom. The third building is a 2184 sq-ft City of Rifle Police Evidence Storage Annex. This building is a long-term storage of evidence.
