CHERRY CREEK STATE PARK CAMPER SERVICES
Chatfield State Park and Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado

This three-building contract involved the construction of a 2,067-square-foot camper services building at Chatfield State Park, and two 1,757-square-foot camper shower buildings and a recreational vehicle dump station at Cherry Creek State Park with site work around each building.  The projects at Cherry Creek State Park are on the West side of the park off Lehigh and Parker Road.  They are called the Gold Rush Building and the Prairie Building.  Major change orders occurred at Cherry Creek State Park Prairie Building when after the design with the Corp of Engineers, FEMA required the building to be flood proofed.  Special features include exposed decorative truss entrances; colored concrete, epoxy paint and 2"x 2" hand-inlay tile throughout all buildings.  The mechanical system utilizes an integrated radiant floor heat and the domestic hot water is controlled to the same constant temperature for all the sinks and showers.
