CHRIST'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Castle Rock, Colorado
Christ's Episcopal Church is a historic building that had outgrown its thriving congregation. Instead of moving to another location, church management decided to retain the historic building for classrooms and build a new structure adjacent to it. The new building features a sanctuary on the main floor with soaring cathedral ceilings and a radiant heat system. The basement in the new facility features a meeting hall and mechanical areas. The new building features an elevator, structural steel framing with a masonry and stucco exterior. Special attention was paid to using materials on the new building that would complement or match the historic structure next door.
