The Renaissance Academy, located on the former 22-acre Hole in the Wall Ranch in northwest Colorado Springs, is a small, private, nonprofit school that offers a gifted education program. The Renaissance Academy had been searching for a site to build a permanent facility since 1993. The 13,900-square-foot, design-build facility includes a main entry with a compass rose featuring tiles made by the students, vibrant classroom colors, and high ceilings with arches offering an open and spacious feeling. The structure is pre-engineered metal construction contemporary, post-modern building featuring numerous visual way-finding components.
